The Bel Air Drama Company held two fundraising carwashes this summer on Sat., July 26 and Sat., August 9.

The first carwash was held at Friendly’s in Bel Air in July. The company raised approximately $275 from donations alone.

The second carwash was held at Applebee’s and was significantly more successful, raising $850 for the company.

“I think that car washes benefit the company because they provide a source of funds for our productions, while also giving company members a chance to spend time with each other during the summer,” said company treasurer and rising BAHS junior Devin Hott.

The funds from the two carwashes will go to helping fund the BADC productions for the 2014-2015 school year. The company also has other fund raisers, such as the candy bags they sell during the weeks of their shows.

Hott also said, “I and a couple other company members have been tossing a few ideas around for other fundraisers throughout the year.”

In total the company raised approximately $1125 to put towards their three productions this year.
