On the weekend of April 4, 2014, Mountain Christian Church held a variety of events including the Joy Prom, Tim Hawkins comedy, and a Brooms Bloom get together.

Joy Prom was a dance held by Mountain Christian Church on April 4 from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. for children with disabilities and special needs. Many people came to the dance, ranging in ages from 12 years old to senior citizens.

A few of the members of Bel Air High School’s Best Buddies went to Joy Prom including Olivia Lioi, Breanna Starr, Brianna Ziehl, and Vicky Van Beek. Sam Sullivan, President of the Best Buddies, went with her buddy, Olivia Lioi. Sam said, “Everyone seemed to be having lots of fun, and it was great to see everyone looking so happy while dancing.” The dance seemed to be a great success.

On April 4 and April 5, Mountain Christian Church held comedian shows with Tim Hawkins and Bob Smiley. The show began at 7:30 P.M. and ended at 10:00 P.M.

Members of radio station Shine FM made an appearance to thank the Church for the support that they provide.

On Sun., April 6, Mountain Christian Church had high school students meet at Broom’s Bloom for a fun night full of live music, ice cream, and a few giant inflatables. The event went from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
