Boys Soccer Takes Out Rival Patterson Mill

The Bel Air Boys’ Soccer team downed rival Patterson Mill on Thursday, October 4th under the lights at Bel Air High School. In an intense back and forth battle, Bel Air came out on top 2-1.

The Bobcats struck early in the game, scoring 2 goals within the first 15 minutes. Goals were scored by juniors – Brandon Tolson and Kyle Warner. Assists were tallied by Austin McKinney and Logan Szekalski. Bel Air led at halftime, and Patterson Mill scored a goal of their own mid-way through the second half.

Bel Air, as a team recorded 12 shots on goal. Bobcat goalie Ryan Han made 2 saves, including a crucial save with under one minute left in the game, keeping Patterson Mill from tying game.

Following the win Bel Air Bobcat Head Varsity Soccer Coach Dom Rose stated, “We scored 2 goals in the first 15 minutes possessed the ball very well throughout the half.  Patterson Mill was chasing us the whole 40 minutes.  In the second half, Patterson (Mill) came out strong and had us on our heels for about 15 minutes.  They scored on a long kick from mid field and it was deflected in. We then calmed things down and controlled the game until the final 5 minutes. Both teams had chances in final frenzy until the game ended. Patterson Mill played very well and gave us everything we could handle.”

The Bobcats, now 5-3, have 3 crucial games on the horizon, playing C.Milton Wright, North Harford and Fallston consecutively in the next week and a half.
