On Thu., Mar. 6, 2014, the Girls’ Basketball Team suffered an 84-35 defeat against Aberdeen High School.

The loss ends the Lady Bobcats’ great playoff run, a run in which the team defeated Edgewood and C. Milton Wright, both teams that they had played twice during the regular season.

“This year’s team was as selfless as I’ve ever seen a group be. They were genuinely deserving of their success,” Mr. Skelton said about the character of his team.

The Lady Bobcats finished the season with a 14-8 record, including the playoffs.  They had great success and exceeded many expectations.

The Lady ‘Cats overcame great adversity during this season, losing 5 of 6 games immediately after a 7 game win streak to open the year.

Mr. Skelton is proud of what his team has accomplished this season. “The girls learned a lot about competing with top-tier teams and I believe they have what it takes to use those lessons going forward.”
