The Bobcats ran wild on the Hawks from the opening whistle, as Junior Joey Sampayo won the face-off and then proceeded to score to put the Bobcats up 1-0 within the first 5 seconds of the game. The Bobcats didn’t let up as they continued to fire away. Going full throttle on offense, North Harford couldn’t find an answer for the relentless Bobcat attack. The highlight of the game came from Senior Captain Calvin Fleagle, who passed the ball behind his back to Junior Brad Casale who then ripped a shot and scored. Bel Air took a commanding 10-2 lead going into half time.

The Bobcat defense played tough throughout the game, only allowing 2 North Harford goals, both coming in the first half. The defense must give credit to Junior Joey Sampayo who was 17 for 18 in face-offs for the night, and paced the offense. Junior Gavin Hanley played great game in goal. The Bobcats leading scorers for the night were Calvin Fleagle and Brad Casale; they both scored three goals to help lead the Bobcats to victory. The final score for the game stood at 12-2, an impressive win for Bel Air.

Senior Captain Joey Creaghan was impressed with the Bobcats’ play after the dominating win. “It felt great to leave it all out on the field for Scoop and come out with a dominant victory. We played extremely well and we are all playing like a family.”

The Bobcats hit the road for their next game against Archbishop Spalding on Apr. 1 . The Bobcats will be looking to start the season off 3-0.
