Baseball Finishes with Winning Record

The Bel Air High School Baseball Team’s season came to a tough end on Fri., May 9, 2014, with a 5-4 loss at the hands of C. Milton Wright in the opening round of the MPSSAA State Playoffs. The game was hard fought, but Bel Air came up just a bit short in the end.

Jack Jenkens, Ben Webber and J.D. Bruck all pitched, holding the Mustangs to just a handful of hits in a combined effort. Mike Feinour, Grayson Boone, and Brenden Yetter each had two hits, but the offense struggled as a whole to manufacture runs.

With the loss, the Bobcats finished with a record of 10-7-1, thus ending the defense of their 2013 State Championship.

Senior Captain Brandon Clifford was proud of his team’s effort this season, and throughout his 4 years of Bel Air Baseball. “I couldn’t have asked for a better four years. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We accomplished what some kids can only dream of. [The game] was bittersweet, but all good things come to an end. Load, Stride.”
