On Sat., May 17, 2014,the Bel Air High School Track and Field Team traveled to Patapsco High School to participate in the MPSSAA 3A North Regional Championship. All members of the Track and Field team tried their best on the events they had worked all year for. This year, 5 people will be competing at States:  Joe Whilden for the 100 Meter, Jake Davenport for Pole Vault, Jon Sayihe for High Jump, Chris Davis for High Jump and Triple Jump and Anferne Thomas for Long Jump. The Boys’ 4×1 relay team – John Sayihe, Devin Bowers, Ryan Wills and Joe Whilden – and the Girls’ 4×1 relay team – Sammy Bowen, Rachel Lohrman, Gabby Encornacian and Kenzie Wills – advanced to states.

“We absolutely killed it” said senior Joe Whilden, “So many [personal records] from the entire team helped us reach our ultimate goal”
