On August 13 through August 15, 2014, tryouts for Bel Air Girls’ soccer took place at Bel Air High School.

Tryouts for both JV and Varsity took place on the same days on the turf and the time of the tryouts changes each day.

While 9^th and 10^th graders can choose to tryout for either JV or varsity, 11^th and 12^th graders must tryout for varsity.

Mady Dougherty, a former JV player said, “I remember last year being different. All three days of tryouts started and ended at the same time and the girls’ soccer teams had to practice on the grass field because there were tryouts going on for different teams on the turf.”

This year, Bel Air High School had to make a tough decision by removing their trainer of many years.

Dougherty said, “I know that any athlete at Bel Air High School is going to miss Trainer Kate. She was always very helpful and gave great instruction for us to follow to help with any injury.”

Although Bel Air High School no longer has Trainer Kate, tryouts for all sports will still go on as usual.
