The 2014 fall sports season is kicking off with the start of the new school year. The fall sports teams will be looking to get the Bobcat athletic program off to a good start. The Bobcats football team will be coming off of a 6-4 season last year that ended with a disappointing loss to Fallston. The Bobcats will be led by returning head Coach Dave Huryk. “Our ability to stay on our assignments and also having as many guys possible going one way will be one of the things that will allow us to win close games this year,” says Coach Huryk.

The Bobcats’ football team will be returning many students of the 2014-2015 graduating class. Four of these returning athletes will be the captains of the team. Seniors Andrew Visconti, Brendan Yetter, Kyle Hamrick, and John Gallina will be the captains of the team for the 2014 season. The other athletes will look up to them as the leaders of the team. The boys look forward to start this year with a step in the right direction.

The Bobcats kick off the year with a home game against North East on Sept. 5. The game will start at 7 p.m. and will be held at Bel Air High School. The Bobcats look to open up the year on a good note with a win at home. They hope to repeat last year’s game against North East that ended in a 53-0 score in the Bobcats’ favor. We wish our team the best of luck and we will be supporting them thought the season.
