Calvin Fleagle Named All-American

Following the 2014 Boys’ Lacrosse season, Senior Calvin Fleagle was recognized by the United Sates Lacrosse Association as an “All-American Lacrosse Player.”

Fleagle was the only athlete chosen out of the 200 lacrosse players in Harford County.

“I started playing lacrosse because my older brother did and I fell in love with it,” Fleagle explained, regarding his career in lacrosse.

“I have been playing lacrosse since I was six, and love that I’m able to share moments with my teammates while having fun. I came in freshmen year and tried out for varsity but didn’t make it but ended up getting pulled up midway through the season and became a big contributor,” Fleagle continued, looking back at his time on his high school career, “The highlight of my Lacrosse career at Bel Air was when we won regionals. I feel great knowing that I’m an All-American, I couldn’t have done it without my teammates. It just goes to show how hard work pays off.”

Finally, Fleagle noted the heightened importance of the award, since his senior season was dedicated to his late coach: Scoop Kelly. “It defiantly means a lot, and the season was a success.”

Calvin Fleagle will attend McDaniel College in the fall and will play lacrosse in the Spring.
