Walk-Ins Welcome Rocks BBQ Bash

The BBQ Bash is known for the sauces and the competition for best BBQ of the year. But we cannot forget about the live music. They have many bands that preform, but the most well-known is Walk-Ins Welcome.

They’ve been a band for about eight years singing country hits and a little bit of rock. Lead singer Tyler Daniels isn’t just in the band, he also on WXCY in the morning on the local country music radio station.

“At the time my boss’s husband asked me if I wanted to be in a band, so I said absolutely! We thought it was going to be you know a couple practices, we tried to put something together and then maybe it would fall apart.” Tyler Daniels explains about how the band started.

The band defiantly didn’t fall apart! Walk-Ins Welcome preforms at many local places and more. The Tower, Looneys Pub, MaGerks and even the BBQ Bash. Some of the known songs they cover are Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker, Parking Lot Party by Lee Brice, and Round Here by Florida Georgia Line.

“Our first gig/ venue was at Harford Live at Ripken Stadium. We didn’t have a name and we started with about eight songs. People kept asking us to perform at their venues, so here we are eight years later not expecting the outcome to be this big,” said Daniels.

Walk-Ins Welcome are always having a great time on stage and show no case of nerves but before every show they’re always a little bit nervous on how the show will go.

“It really depends on the room; sometimes when we play it’s more like the bar scenes. A lot of the time you’re just hoping all the equipment is working and plugged in right. Sometimes if the crowds not really big you get a little nervous thinking it’s not going to be big all night. Then when you play something like the BBQ Bash and all these people are here, your excited from the moment you wake up, even when you’re going to bed, your just ready to go and do it again.”

So the next time you’re at the BBQ Bash or an event and they’re playing, be sure to check them out. Even if you’re not a big country music fan. They’ll always greet you with Walk-Ins Welcomes.
